Leavenworth, KS
Leavenworth, known as the First City in Kansas was founded in 1854. Leavenworth was built largely to support Fort Leavenworth, which was founded in 1827, and the settlers who were heading west. The City was home to freight companies, meat packers, stove makers, and furniture manufacturers. As the city grew, factories and businesses flourished and stately homes were built to house the families whose wealth grew as the city grew. Leavenworth was the industrial center of Kansas and of the west.
With a population of approximately 35,000, Leavenworth sits in the rolling hills of northeastern Kansas on the Missouri River and is conveniently located on the outskirts of the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Leavenworth is home to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Veterans Affairs Medical Center, University of Saint Mary, and the Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary. Leavenworth’s Historic downtown still contains many of the buildings that were present in the early 1900s with vintage homes scattered throughout the community.

Leavenworth USD 453 is Home of the Pioneers and consists of Earl Lawson Early Education Center, Anthony Elementary School, David Brewer Elementary School, Henry Leavenworth Elementary School, Richard Warren Middle School, Leavenworth Intermediate School. Nettie Hartnett Education Center, and Leavenworth High School. The mission of the Leavenworth Public Schools is to prepare every student for success in every classroom, every day.
Lansing, KS
Lansing, a town just south of Leavenworth along the western bank of the Missouri River, became officially incorporated in 1959. Before that, the area had been platted into town lots since 1878 by James Lansing, whom the town is named for. The current population stands at approx. 11,239 it is clearly a growing area. Being just minutes from ideal shopping and restaurants makes Lansing a prime location for small-town living with the benefits of the city nearby.

Lansing USD 469 is Home of The Lions. USD 469 consists of Lansing Early Childhood (Ages 1-5), Lansing Elementary (K-3), Lansing Intermediate (4-5), Lansing Middle School (6-8), and Lansing High School (9-12). The school districts mission is to provide all students with the scholastic, technical, social, and life-long learning skills essential for academic, occupational, and personal success as productive citizens.
Basehor, KS
Basehor, founded in 1889 by Reuben Basehor and his brother Ephraim is built on land purchased from a Railroad surveyor in 1874. Once the Railroad was completed in 1889 they began to build the townsite and it was dedicated on November 30, 1889.
This small town just south of Leavenworth is considered a suburb of the Kansas City metropolitan area and has a population of about 8,000.. Basehor is a growing city and will soon be the home to the first Fairway Grocery in Kansas. With easy access to I70 and highway 7, it is a popular choice for those working in Kansas City and Fort Leavenworth. .

Basehor-Linwood USD 458 ‘Home of the Bobcats’ consists of:
Linwood Elementary School, Glenwood Ridge Elementary, Basehor Intermediate School, Basehor Elementary School, Basehor-Linwood Middle School, and Basehor-Linwood High School which is a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School. The district also includes Basehor-Linwood Distance Learning and the Basehor-Linwood Virtual School. The mission of Basehor-Linwood Schools is that all students develop and reach their potential.
Parkville, MO

Parkville Public Schools
The Park Hill School District stands tall as a recipient of the Highest Level of Quality Award.
